Sr. CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

Roles and Responsibilities
• Basic & detail engineering in the discipline of Control & Instrumentation Engineering for simple cycle gas turbine, combined cycle gas turbine power plants with gas and steam turbines as well as diesel power plants
• Undertake pre-bid engineering, prepare bill of materials, estimation & costing from drawings, technical specification / documents
• Shall possess knowledge of preparation of technical specification/ documents
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical specifications & datasheet for various C & I Engineering equipment / work, system description & design basis report
• Able to design plant control philosophy, Control system Architecture, protection & interlock scheme, I/O list, display graphics, logic diagrams, alarm and trip point list, GA of control room
• Possess thorough knowledge of designing instrument hook up drawing, interfacing between DCS, PLC & other systems and auxiliary plant, field Instruments, control valves, analyzers..
• Able to prepare technical specification DCS, PLC & field instrument including preparation of field instrument list and instrument location drawings, instrument rack details and instrumentation cable block diagram
• Shall possess thorough knowledge of application of Instrumentation cable and fiber optic cable and able to prepare cable schedule, termination chart and instrument installation materials details
• Able to prepare UPS system sizing calculations & Single Line Diagram, plant clock system, telephone & paging system block diagrams
• Shall be conversant with relevant International Codes & Standards
• Shall be familiar with interface engineering required for Balance of Plant, vendor drawing review, inter disciplinary co-ordination
• Shall be conversant with International C&I equipment manufacturers and suppliers and their products



Skills and Competencies

Shall be conversant with use of relevant engineering software and AutoCAD.
Shall possess excellent written and oral communication skills and able to supervise and train subordinates.

Experience:
Minimum 20 years experience with not less than 10 years in profession in relevant area.

Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering
